The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating, supervising and being accountable for the daily / weekly / monthly activities of their team members and assigned clients. The Production Manager also performs reviews, audits, and investigates workers compensation medical bill review claims.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Coordinate, facilitate, and supervise daily/weekly/monthly activities of a team including setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
2. Accountable for coaching, weekly/monthly 1:1’s, daily huddles, feedback, and annual performance reviews as well as managing formal corrective action
3. Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
4. Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, leadership, departments, etc.
5. Report out team metrics and results on a regular basis
6. Identify process gaps and implement innovative process improvements
7. Identify, remediate, resolve, and root cause operational problems using defined processes and expertise
8. Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet Production metrics
9. Utilize applicable tools/resources to investigate and document claims payments
10. Conduct reviews, audits, and monitor quality of work to ensure optimum achievement of established bill review procedures
11. Coordinate and communicate projects between teams, leadership, and other departments
12. Communicate timely to clients (externally) via ticketing system and/or email on any inquiries related to bill review operations for assigned accounts
13. Accountable for all inventory of assigned clients and escalates appropriately any delays in processing for the overall health of the client
Required Qualifications
1. High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
2. 3+ years of experience with Workers Compensation Medical Bill Review
3. 3+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity
4. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
5. Advanced knowledge in Workers Compensation rules/regulations
6. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects
7. Ability to identify, understand, and drive resolution of complex critical issues
8. Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to leadership (Lead, Director, and VP where appropriate) and technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or related field
2. Experience in a large matrix environment
3. Medical Billing experience
