We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and organised individual to join our team as a Tutor and Learning Centre Assistant supporting our Lindamood-Bell Learning Centre in London. Join us as we teach students of all ages to read and comprehend to their potential Position Details: Prior teaching experience is optional. This position is fixed term, beginning in January. The fixed term Tutor and Learning Centre Assistant is not a remote position. We provide paid training in the programmes used by Lindamood-Bell. All necessary technical equipment and programme materials will be provided. Internship credits may be available. Schedule Details: This position requires Monday – Friday availability. Learning Centre hours of operation are 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Expected schedule is subject to change based on the scheduling needs of the Learning Centre. Required hours during the paid training are generally 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, for two weeks. Following the training, as a fixed term employee, hours will be set according to the employment contract. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group instruction, in-person or online, based upon each client’s learning needs. Work with the Centre Director, Associate Centre Director, and Consultants to implement client plans. Manage client records, both handwritten and electronic. Answer phones, transfer calls, check voicemail, and process messages. Act as break monitor, overseeing students' breaks. Use various computer programmes to process payments, manage expenses, build schedules, and edit timesheets. General office duties including filing, watering plants, organising bookshelves, and general office clean-up. Work with the IT Department to support technology needs at the Centre. Work with Centre leadership and HR to recruit and screen applicants using our applicant tracking system. Perform physical tasks including, but not limited to, bending, stretching, reaching, and stooping. Perform occasional errands outside of the office. Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive work environment. Requirements: Associate’s degree, Early Childhood Education certificate, Bachelor's degree, or actively pursuing a degree is required. Intermediate computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet utilisation. Desire to work in an environment with children and families. Excellent reading, spelling, and comprehension skills. Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds unassisted. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. Compensation: While performing duties associated with the add-on Learning Centre Assistant position, the hourly rate will be increased by £2.00 per hour. Work performed as a Tutor (Clinician) will be paid at the posted hourly rate.
