Job summary The Patient dining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the patient dining services within North Middlesex Hospital. This includes managing a team of patient dining staff, ensuring that all patients have nutrition and hydration in line with the patient's needs, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. The role involves coordinating with various departments to support patient care, adhering to health and safety regulations, and managing resources efficiently. The Patient Dining supervisor will also be responsible for training staff, conducting regular inspections, and implementing improvement initiatives to enhance service quality. Main duties of the job Supervision of Staff: Lead and manage the Patient Dining team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring. Provide training and development opportunities for staff to ensure high standards of patient care. Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of hospital areas to ensure Patient's nutrition and hydration needs are met. Address any deficiencies in service and implement corrective actions promptly. Resource Management: Manage inventory of food supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to procure necessary materials and services. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all Patient Dining practices comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect staff and patients. Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with nursing, clinical staff, and other departments to support the needs of Patients to ensure they have the correct levels of Nutrition and Hydration. Participate in infection control meetings and implement recommended practices. Administrative Duties: Maintain records of staff attendance, training, and performance. Prepare reports on Patient Dining services activities and present them to the Facilities Manager.
