Attendance & Welfare Officer

Salary: Scale 5 (Pts 12-17)
Actual Salary: £22,621 - £24,539 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 1 TE Day
Would you like to make a difference to the lives of young people? We are looking for a dynamic individual to support students and parents in promoting a positive culture around attendance and punctuality.
You will be expected to:
1. Provide advice, support and guidance
2. Recognise the needs of the individual student
3. Form strong relationships with parents, students and colleagues
4. Demonstrate good communication skills and teamwork
5. Oversee the school's attendance procedures, ensuring that official registers are accurately maintained and attendance trends are monitored to reduce levels of unauthorised absence in line with the policies and values of The Chase
You will be able to work with integrity and display sound judgement, respecting confidentiality at all times. You must possess the confidence to work with young people as well as parents.
This role will involve home visits and liaising with external agencies.
