We are looking for a meticulous Legal Assistant, committed to the protection of children to join our fast-paced and busy practice, with ideally a minimum of 6 months experience within a similar role in a Family department.
As a Legal Assistant, you will be expected to assist lawyers in the administration and management of a wide range of public law family law matters from inception through to completion.

What the job involves:
* Diary management of team members within the department as well as typing from digital dictation, drafting and proof-reading documentation.
* Proactively and professionally handling a wide range of queries with email and telephone.
* Drafting Legal Aid Applications and managing notifications on CCMS.
* Downloading and marshalling documents from the HMCTS Portal.
* Preparing Bundles for Court as needed.
What you need:
* To ideally have at least 6 months experience in a public law, Family Department in an administration function.
* Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of the requisite area of law;
* Excellent administrative, planning, organisation and time management as well as being proficient in a variety of IT software, including all MS Office applications.
