We are recruiting for an experience Bookkeepr/ Accounts Assistant for one of our key clients in the Bridgend area.
The main responsibilities would be a broad set of accounting duties; to assist in all aspects of accounting, including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Staff and Site Expenses, Timesheets and Balance Sheet Reconciliations; excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a small head office team; previous experience in providing high-quality bookkeeping records;good working knowledge of the MS Office and minimum knowledge to include Pivot Tables and V-Lookups;working knowledge of Sage Line 50; highly numerate with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrates organisational skills to manage time effectively, meeting objectives and deadlines; strong and effective communicator, both written and verbal; highly self-motivated, proactive, personable and a team player; process purchase invoices site expenses, monthly company credit card statements; check receipts; reconcile supplier / site expense statements; deal with purchase enquiries; prepare Sales Invoices; bank reconciliations; familiarity with UK VAT Legislation; knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and financial statements; assisting with the preparation of monthly MI, VAT Returns, audits, etc.
Working hours are 8:45am to 4.45pm Monday to Friday.
