What's involved with this role: Interim Commercial Property Lawyer Reference no: Merton 5265636 Pay Rate: up to £40.16 per hour PAYE max 35 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 3 months City: Morden, London Two days flexible office attendance. The role is for a commercial property lawyer dealing with commercial leases, assignments, licences, academy conversions and school disposals, advice on disposals and acquisitions, title reports and property due diligence. 2-3 Years post qualified experience. Ideally someone with local authority experience, but this is not necessary if they have relevant commercial experience. Key duties: Oversee the management of commercial property transactions, ensuring all acquisitions, disposals, leases, and developments comply with legal and organizational standards. Provide clear and timely legal advice on commercial property issues, assisting internal stakeholders in making informed decisions. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts and leases, to protect the organization’s interests. Conduct thorough due diligence on property transactions to identify and mitigate potential legal risks. Represent the organization in negotiations and dispute resolutions, aiming to achieve favorable outcomes in commercial property matters. Key requirements: Qualified solicitor with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in commercial property law. Up-to-date understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing commercial property transactions. Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating legal documents, with meticulous attention to detail. Proven track record in managing complex commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and development projects. Ability to provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients. Proficient in negotiating terms and resolving disputes effectively.
