Senior Buyer Uxbridge £55,000 - £60,000 A world-leading manufacturer of ejection seats and related aerospace safety equipment are seeking a Senior Buyer to be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services related to facilities management. Key Accountabilities - Senior Buyer Provide the primary point of contact for suppliers. Manage purchase requisitions and Capex in accordance with standard operating procedures. With the relevant commodity manager, actively develop, gain agreement to and roll-out the appropriate Commodity Strategy. Identify and engage with new suppliers. In conjunction with the Commodity Managers research and evaluate new suppliers and technologies. Monitor the external environment and keep an up-to-date knowledge of competitors and supplier capacity and capability. Generation and maintenance of supplier data in Medius & SAP - cost, master data, transactions etc. to support financial and governance process. Comply with all Sourcing policies & processes. Ensures compliance with export controls e.g. UK, USA, others as appropriate and Company Policies & Processes. Skills and knowledge required - Senior Buyer Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject- Purchasing supply chain, CIPS Extensive experience managing categories across Facilities portfolio Experience within a Manufacturing or similar environment All Facilities categories (including building construction, H&S regulations, Governmental building regulation)
