Job Opportunity: Audit Manager
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with drive and enthusiasm to develop their career and be a key player in the growing Audit team of a forward-thinking accountancy firm. They are seeking someone with energy, strong influencing skills, and vision, who takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will have a background in larger corporates and groups, managing their own caseload and working directly with partners, as well as developing the Audit team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing a caseload primarily in Milton Keynes for general practice partners across the firm.
2. Controlling and supervising the audit team.
3. Marketing and promoting the firm.
4. Auditing a wide range of corporate clients, including groups and overseas subsidiaries.
5. Reporting directly to Partners and liaising with other managers as required.
6. Planning, supervising, and reviewing audit and accounts cases, including preparing notes for partners.
7. Being the main point of contact with clients, liaising face-to-face, via phone/video, and email on day-to-day issues.
8. Assisting staff with technical accounting and auditing problems.
9. Developing the audit function in Milton Keynes and coordinating with other offices.
10. Supervising and developing staff, providing leadership to the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
* ACA or ACCA qualified.
* At least 2-3 years post-qualification audit experience.
* Experience as a manager within a Chartered Practice.
* Experience dealing with organizations with turnovers up to £100 million.
