At Apollo, flow assurance engineering is a multi-skilled role.
The ideal candidate is expected to have a balanced range of advanced experience in traditional flow assurance (OLGA etc.), CFD analysis and/or process engineering. These skills are essential to allow the candidate to support Apollo’s projects from the Appraise/Select phase through to Detailed Design and also including debottlenecking and repairs/modifications.
You will provide support to the growing business and will be expected to carry out a range of engineering design and analysis work from classical hand calculations to advanced analysis techniques.
Key Responsibilities
* Executing duties in compliance with applicable legislation, codes, standards, and Apollo’s quality control and administration procedures;
* Working always with due regard to safety
* Acting as project delivery lead where directed, managing the work of project teams and self to deliver work on time, on budget and to a suitable quality standard;
* Reporting to and meeting clients and other interested parties as required;
* Supporting business development activities including sales presentations, meetings, events, proposals and tendering;
* Representing the Apollo brand positively through personal manner, attitude and appearance;
* Any other delegated content as reasonably instructed by the line manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Degree in chemical, fluid mechanics, mechanical or suitable engineering related course;
* Must have hands on experience using advanced flow assurance and/or process tools such as OLGA, HYSYS, CFD etc;
* Experience in carrying out a range of fluid flow and thermal related problems e.g. steady state and transient pipeline activities, separation, multiphase, thermal/radiation, dispersion, vibration etc;
* Hands on experience in deriving engineering solutions as part of multi-disciplinary projects;
* Engineering design and/or analysis experience in the offshore oil and gas, marine and/or renewables industries would be beneficial but not essential;
* Working knowledge of office software tools (MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc.);
* Chartered engineer or working towards chartership.
