DB Cargo UK is currently recruiting for a HR Shared Services Administrator to support our Payroll and Employee Change Services at Doncaster on a 12 month fixed term contract.
As a HR Shared Services Administrator you’ll be part of the HR Shared Services team (HRSS) to provide a professional, high quality, timely, customer focused service to key stakeholders and internal and external customers.
Our HR function at DB Cargo UK is multifaceted. We have our Operational team who are field based and support line managers and employees directly with any employee relations matters. Our Shared Services team manage all transactional and administrational requirements including payroll; and our Talent Management function – responsible for the recruitment and development of our colleagues.
What will you be doing?
The HR Shared Services Administrator will provide generalist support across the entire Shared Services team, on a range of administrative and functional activities.
Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, the HR Shared Services Administrator will be responsible for monitoring the Shared Mailboxes ensuring that enquiries are triaged appropriately and dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Process overtime and expenses for all employees accurately and on time within Payroll.
Maintain and update employee records in the HR Information System, ensuring all data is current and accurate.
Conduct data entry tasks related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure alignment on employee status changes, new hires, and terminations.
Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues, providing solutions as necessary.
Stay informed about changes in employment legislation that may affect payroll processing.
The role will also provide general office focused responsibilities such as printing, filing and posting, where required.
What are we looking for?
Excellent administrative skills.
Proven experience as a Payroll/HR Administrator, or similar role in a HR environment is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge and understanding of GDPR Legislation.
Familiarity with Workday (HRIS) and ADP (Payroll System) is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records within an HRIS system.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with employees at all levels.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
