An Edinburgh-based R&D Tech organisation are going through an exciting period of growth, and are looking for an Azure Engineer to join their growing hybrid team.
Their product line is very impressive and they’re working with some globally recognised companies within their industry - they've got really big plans for the next few years ahead.
They are needing a specialist in Azure to help to coach them in improving existing infrastructure with a real focus on best practices. You would be the first cloud specialist in the team so they're expecting you to analyse, provide suggestions on improvements and implement these to optimise functionality and aid scaling. They're ideally looking for someone that has had experience doing this in a prior role. You'll be given a lot of autonomy and responsibility within this role, where you can have a lot of input in technical decisions.
The Azure Engineer will implement more advanced Azure functions and upgrade from their existing infrastructure, so it’s a really great opportunity for someone who likes to show initiative and get creative in their role. They are open-ears to any improvements you wish to make so innovation is key here. Some of the main responsibilities include:
* Looking after and improving their azure function.
* Applying best practices in security.
* Implementing advanced azure services including automation with IaC.
* Assist with cloud architecture and practices to follow.
They’re looking for an experienced Azure Engineer with the ability to transform and enhance existing infrastructure, who can really put their own stamp on things. Experience of leading and driving projects forward would be massively beneficial. Other advantageous experience/skills:
* Azure (at an advanced level).
* Identity Management and Security.
* Cloud automation to improve scalability, reliability and efficiency (Terraform, Ansible, Chef etc).
* The ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
* Others such as… IoT Hub, SQL Databases, Powershell, Azure IM.
In return, they’re able to offer a salary from £50k to £70k + benefits, which include; private health insurance, flexible working and opportunities to develop your skills at a rapidly scaling company.
They are in the process of moving offices to somewhere central in Edinburgh and they do support hybrid working where you'll be expected to pop in a couple times per week, so they are looking for someone local.
