The role:
In this role you will:
* Work across the entire Heritage function.
* Form relationships with a wide variety of factory departments.
* Support Heritage Chief Engineer with design of parts for historic F1 cars, support with drawings in CAD and applying them to the cars in collaboration with the technicians.
* Technical involvement in all areas of Heritage car builds, from initial assessment to track testing.
* Proactively managing a wide range of responsibilities, based in our Heritage workshop.
* Assist at events and travel with the Heritage team, as required.
* A highly varied and exciting job role, in a particularly desirable area of the business.
Qualifications
Core competencies: Students from a variety of Engineering degrees such as Mechanical Engineering are welcome to apply. We are unable to accept applications from students in their final year of their university studies.
What we are looking for:
* Ability to build relationships and be a team player.
* Experience in technical data analysis using Excel or other software.
* Keen interest in engineering/automotive.
* Highly organised and process driven.
* CAD design capabilities (preferred Siemens NX).
Core Skills:
In addition to the above, candidates should have an interest in continuous improvement and some project management. We also heavily encourage applicants to let us know about any work experience or examples of developing knowledge or learning beyond academic courses. We strive to develop well-rounded people with a passion for improvement of both the business and themselves. The ability to use CAD systems is of great importance and will allow the candidate to explore a steep learning curve and gain a great practical experience in engineering design.
