You will be required to work as part of our multi disciplinary team to create a therapeutic and safe environment where young people can feel secure, cared for and valued.
You will be working with a maximum of 3 young people aged between 7-12 years.
You will work to build positive relationships with your staff team, young people, assessing strengths and looking at innovative ways to overcome any challenges that our young people experience.
Lifestyles staff and management team are supported by a multi disciplinary team of health and care professionals including a clinical psychologist, a registered nurse, an occupational therapist, a speech and language therapist, a positive behaviour support specialist and a psycho therapist/ trauma specialist.
Key Responsibilities: As a Deputy Manager you will support the Registered Manager in guiding your team to deliver the highest standards of care and working in line with minimum standards 2019 and children's home regulations 2005 Work co-operatively with children's services, health agencies and other community based services, networking to ensure the young people are receiving the most effective service and achieving their true potential.
Take responsibility for complex cases/ situations presenting within the service and work diligently as part of a multi disciplinary team with an aim of achieving a high quality, safe and well managed care and support service Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures and ensure full compliance in line with organisational policies and procedures Provide comprehensive staff supervision on a minimum of a monthly basis or when required and work with the Registered Manager ensuring staff training is fully compliant and in date Work closely with the Registered Manager ensuring staffing and service level reports are fully comprehensive, high quality and accurate.
Support the Registered Manager in ensuring we are working within budget.
Co-Facilitate team meetings and in the absence of the Registered Manager take on additional responsibilities within the operations of the service.
Requirements: A minimum 2 years experience working with behaviours of concern such as verbal and physical aggression/ absconding.
