About Us: Abbeywood School is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Rotherham, the school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of other associated conditions.
Role Overview: As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. You will assess our young people’s mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan. Building rapport is key to delivering effective counselling and feedback on progress.

Requirements:
* Qualified professional (or accredited Counsellor) eligible for membership of BACP or similar professional body (additional mental health or therapeutic intervention qualifications desirable).
* Well-versed in child development and adept at connecting with young people.
* Highly organised and proactive.
* Honesty and empathy are essential.
