The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bolton Council for an experienced Consultation and Engagement Officer. This post will support a range of policies, strategies and development initiatives across the organisation, through the planning, implementation and evaluation of the council’s strategic consultations, public engagement and data analysis programmes.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, based within the Policy, Strategy and Area Working Team. Working with colleagues from across the organisation, wider partners and communities, you will deliver effective, end-to-end consultations, insight and data analysis activity, ensuring that the organisation meets its statutory duties and stakeholder voice is captured as part of our decision-making processes.
About You
This is a key role within the organisation and as such requires a highly motivated individual, with an understanding of the local government landscape, as well as experience of partnership working within a matrix environment. You should have excellent knowledge and application of engagement methodologies, including survey design, and possess a range of skills including excellent project delivery, relationship management, communication and analytical skills.
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent levels of experience. Whilst applicants may have experience of working in a similar role, we are also keen to hear from individuals that have worked in other sectors with transferrable skillsets.
