Job Title IAG Officer Reporting to Employment and Training Manager Contract Type Fixed term until July 2026 Location IHWC, Unit 18, Ace Business Park, B33 0LD Salary NJC Scale Points 11 FTE £26,900.50 Pro rata for 21 hours £15,477.00 Working Hours 21 hours per week JOB OUTLINE: To engage and deliver quality Information, Advice & Guidance to digitally excluded people from priority areas in East Birmingham and North Solihull and through planning and support, move them into further learning opportunities, education opportunities and ultimately, towards and into employment. Whilst no eligible resident would be refused, the service will target people with disabilities and long-term conditions working in collaboration with the DRC Digital Inclusion Officer and colleagues from Better Pathways. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: To undertake outreach work at community venues to engage and motivate participants To deliver high quality Information, Advice & Guidance to participants To complete individual action plans with all participants identifying short-, medium- and long-term goals to meet the individual needs of the participants which includes SMART targets for both the participant and the advisor Manage a caseload of participants, supporting the achievement of personal and team targets, including contract requirements To record all interactions with participants accurately and completely, fully detailing the participants' journey To build and maintain knowledge of information resources on learning, education, training and employment and signpost participants accordingly To undertake administrative tasks such as setting up and maintaining participants records, conducting audits and recording statistical data To update the CRM with appropriate information. To develop good relationships with delivery partners, agencies and services for the benefit of the project and its participants To supply monitoring information to the line manager on a monthly basis. Take ownership of all administrative aspects of the role. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to work undertaken and ensure all confidentiality materials are stored according to DRC’s Data Protection and Data Security Policies. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with needs of DRC and the team.
