An Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" client of ours are looking to hire a new Deputy Head of Engineering to join their Head of Engineering in growing, developing and supporting in their well-funded and modern Engineering Educational team deliver to the next generation of Engineers.
They are offering a salary of £46,208 per year along with 38 days of paid annual leave and they will contribute 28.68% of your salary to the Teacher's Pension Scheme every year (worth over an extra £13,000!), plus many more generous staff benefits.
As a Deputy Head of Engineering you will:
- Work alongside the Head of Engineering who will support your development in an increasingly growing department.
- Support the development of the courses and enhance towards being a centre of excellence.
- Teach, support, and assess students’ coursework.
- Oversee Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualifications
- Plan a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet the local/regional skills requirements.
- Implement the launching of the new T-levels in Engineering
- Lead, communicate, and coordinate your team, so all students receive up-to-date and correct information.
- Work towards becoming a centre of excellent for green engineering within the region.
To apply for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following:
- A Level 4 or higher Engineering Qualification OR Industry Experience (Electrical/Mechanical/Aero)
- Experience within teaching OR assessing engineering (2+ years)
- A teaching/assessing qualification
- A passion to teaching and lead the next generation of Engineers!
