The senior demand planning manager is a key role within the commercial team, responsible for the overall ownership of the commercial forecasting process, and for leading the delivery of the demand side of the S&OP process (including full ownership of DMR). This role also owns leading the demand/supply/cross functional connection to ensure holistic S&OP and forecasting/demand planning process.
Responsibilities
* Own demand planning for named brands, named customers/channels, coordination & leading the sales team delivery of the forecast, and the cross functional demand/supply comm's to enable delivery of the forecast.
* Run demand surgeries with sales team for top/named customers to enable sales team to deliver accurate forecasting, leading Weekly S&OP debrief meetings.
* Enable sales team to deliver accurate forecasts by providing planning tools/enablers to support via Anaplan.
* Own upload process/systems ownership for the upload of the forecast as required in internal systems.
* Own the DMR monthly meeting - coordinating agenda, running the meeting & owning communication/outcome to ensure clarity on forecast to enable financialization and supply.
* Enable sales directors with tools/insights to enhance forecast accuracy.
* Enable sales directors with Finish Good position and liaise with Head of Distribution, Head of Emerging Channel and CCO on Clearance Strategies.
* Owner within demand planning team for DMR & output/post meeting comm's.
* Demand lead for x-functional comm's on forecasting, enabling clarity on demand outlook, risks/opps/forecast drivers etc. for named accounts.
* Enable NPD/EPD planning & gate process, providing inputs for planning, and insights to manage ongoing performance for named brands.
* Support with range optimization, ensuring optimized & efficient portfolio for named brands.
* Play lead role in annual planning process, and budget setting, coordinating demand side annual planning process to ensure early forecasting & accordingly enable sales team to ensure sufficiency/readiness to deliver target. Key role in budget setting and planning.
* Peer support to coach & develop commercial team to upskill in demand planning/forecasting incl. of demand planning role alongside being an Anaplan Commercial Superuser.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Degree calibre.
* Broad knowledge of the FMCG trade.
* Demand planning & S&OP experience.
* FMCG operational understanding and cross functional experience.
* Business and commercial acumen.
* Anaplan (or equivalent BI tool) experience, preferably to a superuser level.
