Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer to join our team in Hinkley. The successful candidate will support the wider engineering team in ensuring preventative and reactive maintenance activities are carried out effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to PSSR regulations including inspection and maintenance against written schemes of examination.
* Record maintenance activities, working with area supervisors to develop downtime logs and failure analysis.
* Maintain the CMMS computer maintenance management system up to date at the end of every day.
* Participate in root cause analysis/investigation of accidents and incidents as required.
* Manage time effectively to complete jobs on schedule.
* Adhere to project completion targets or communicate any necessary adjustments.
* Mentor team members as required.
Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 - Must have served a recognised apprenticeship within a manufacturing industry, ideally mechanical and electrical (minimum of at least one) is essential.
* Knowledge of Pressure Safety Systems Regulations would be advantageous.
* Proven experience within a production or manufacturing environment, including fitting, repairing, and installation.
* Strong technical skills, confident in reading and understanding engineering drawings, including Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
* Experience in fault finding.
* A logical and well-organised approach to problem-solving.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ipaf - MEWP (desirable).
* Atex Qualification (explosive atmosphere) (desirable).
* 18th Edition Wiring regulations.
* F-gas level 2 (desirable).

Working Hours
The role involves working Monday – Friday days, with core hours from 0800 – 1630 Monday to Friday.
Salary
The salary for this role is £42,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits.
