Job Title: Part-Time Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join our educational team in Saltash, Cornwall. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in planning and preparing learning activities under the guidance of the lead teacher.
2. Support individual students or small groups to ensure they understand the material and complete tasks.
3. Supervise students in the classroom, playground, field trips, or during extracurricular activities.
4. Help maintain a well-organised and tidy classroom that promotes an effective learning environment.
5. Provide administrative support, such as preparing instructional materials, photocopying, and maintaining student records.
6. Monitor student progress and report observations to the lead teacher.
7. Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support the needs of students with learning differences.
8. Encourage positive behaviour and uphold the school's policies and rules.
9. Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students.
* A patient and understanding approach when working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
* Familiarity with current educational technology and classroom resources.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development.
