Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safety advice to project and engineering managers, ensuring that safety considerations are correctly implemented. This will involve engaging with third parties to review and gather supporting Design Safety Justification (DSJ) report evidence.
Key responsibilities will include developing safety arguments, producing and updating DSJs and safety management documentation using appropriate regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification in a relevant STEM subject and broad knowledge of industry safety standards.
A demonstrable experience in safety engineering activities in the defence, maritime or a relevant highly regulated domain is essential. The successful candidate will also be line managing other safety practitioners in their team.
