An excellent opportunity has arisen to become the Governance Coordinator for the Surgical Care Group.
The post holder will provide administrative support to enable the delivery of the Trust Governance agenda within the Care Group, this will include support to develop, monitor and maintain processes to ensure assurance can be provided for all areas of clinical governance.
This post would ideally suit a dynamic, experienced professional who has a passion for patient safety and quality of care. You must be able to use your own initiative and have excellent organisational skills.

Person specification
Experience
* Practical experience in at least one area of clinical governance (e.g. PSIRF, incidents management, information management, clinical risk management, complaints, clinical effectiveness).
* Experience of undertaking investigation into patient safety.
* Experience of writing and implementing guidelines, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
* Proficiency in IT literacy, with experience across a range of current and relevant software packages (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
* Degree-level qualification or equivalent level of relevant experience in a related field.
* Health and Safety/Governance qualification
Knowledge
* Conversant with developments in risk, governance, and all aspects of patient safety at both national and local levels.
* Flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and dynamic work environments, ensuring responsive and effective support.
* Ability to motivate and lead staff in all areas of risk, governance and patient safety.
