Search Consultancy is excited to be working with a well-established and dynamic company based in Leeds to find an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an accounts assistant role, with a good understanding of general accounting principles. Experience in credit control and purchase ledger would be highly valuable in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will assist with the preparation of financial statements and reporting, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure the accurate processing of financial transactions. You will support month-end and year-end procedures and help with VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks. Additionally, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
Key Requirements:
We are looking for someone with experience in an accounts assistant or finance-related role. You should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, and be proficient in accounting software (such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and MS Excel. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
