We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our clients IoT and Digital Operations team. We are seeking a proactive individual to join in this key role within the Business Development function. There will be a number of responsibilities within this role, including Business Development, analysing Commercial Strategy and Project Management too. Business areas will include commercial printing, industrial printing and additive manufacturing.
The role
You will be joining a dynamic team specialising in creating software and data solutions that will improve and integrate internal manufacturing and back – office processes. This role will also include collaboration with customers who are seeking to enhance their print automation businesses
The role will contribute towards Software Development projects integrating print engine and technologies within factory automation forming part of the overall customer solution. You will be required to work as part of a multidisciplined DevOps and Engineering team to support the Software Development Lifecycle with responsibility for software security, functionality and scalability.
You will be required to support the change management and documentation as you go.
The role also requires ongoing research and self-learning, keeping up to date with the latest software technologies and methodologies to align with the overall company software development strategy.
The person
For this role we are seeking an innovative a, self motivated and pro-active Software Engineer. Ideally you will be degree qualified within Computer Science, Electronics or Software Engineering with knowledge, and ideally at least 2 years of demonstrable experience within Software Development. A strong knowledge of C# and Microsoft Windows application development is essential. C++ and Linux OS experience is advantageous.
Experience with integrating software into factory automation environments would be desirable. Along with knowledge of industrial networking/ communication protocols and printing technologies.
This role offers a competitive salary between £40,000 and £46,000 and includes generous benefits which include profit related bonus, executive medical and private health cover.
The role will be a hybrid model of working. As such, it’s important that candidates live a commutable distance from their impressive facility in Telford. Some travel to customer sites will also be required too.
