Stratford-upon Avon Avon support Ltd we are currently recruiting support workers to join our friendly team to support individuals in our day centre, in the community, and their own home. As a support worker you will be supporting people to develop life skills and promote independence, encourage learning and developing skills that are fun and engaging Everyday is fun and rewarding at Avon Support, you will have adventures helping people engage with their community, accompanying people we support on days with activities such as bowling, going to local clubs, the cinema, football, local cafes and shopping and much more In our day centre we have fun with a variety of activities, cooking, baking, playing games, arts and crafts, flower arranging and again much more In our supported living services, you will encourage people we support to live as independently as possible. Assisting with meal preparations, household duties and getting ready for the day ahead. There is also an element of personal care in our supported living services. Support worker role and responsibilities Previous experience in a support worker role is desirable, but not essential Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in organizing and facilitating group activities. Knowledge of inclusive and accessible community resources.
