Working at a new children's home for children with complex social, emotional, and behaviour issues associated with adverse childhood experiences, you will working as part of a team to ensure the individual needs of the children are met. You will follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and contribute to these. Engaging with the children, you will develop positive attachments, and ensure that positive outcomes are achieved. You will be part of managing staff, providing advice and guidance, and formal supervision. Duties will include report writing, carrying out risk assessments, health & safety compliance, and some housekeeping.
Children may exhibit challenging behaviour, and you will be trained in positive behaviour management techniques. Full Induction training will be given, along with mandatory and bespoke training.
You will work on a rota basis, and some sleep-ins are required.
Sometimes frustrating, this is a rewarding job for someone experienced in residential childcare who can show passion and commitment.
