Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.
What You'll Do
To provide a professional level engineering service on both assure (Faults) and provide MACDs (Move, Add, Change and Delete) activities for our customer on behalf of Vodafone.
The role will involve working alongside our project engineers for project delivery in order to achieve the delivery of each assigned project stream as expected by both client and the company. Be able to manage risk and costs and ensure all quality and health & safety requirements are met. Hold a technical knowledge of networking principles, having operated in both provide and assure delivery space and have a proven track record of successful technical project implementation across various delivery solutions.
* Deliver a Data Cabling project to the customer's expectations.
* Ability to work at height - using ladders, podium steps and access platforms.
* Carry out surveys of customer premises and report upon findings from an installation point of view.
* Work from plans, marked drawings and follow crib sheets.
* Carry out network cabling installations within customer premises (copper and fibre).
* Carry out duct works using cobra and other tools.
* Fibre splicing single mode and multimode.
Who You Are
* Be able to install copper/fibre.
* Experience/knowledge of firestopping, CPD, vendor training and such like.
* Hold/willing to obtain – Firestopping qualifications.
* Hold/eligible and willing to obtain – SC clearance.
* Hold/willing to obtain – IOSH, CCNSG, ECS card(s).
* Hold/willing to obtain – Excel Cabling Partner Training and refresh every 2-years.
* Hold/willing to obtain – Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWPs) e.g., a cherry picker or scissor lift requires an IPAF PAL Card and IPAF Licence that should be renewed every 5 years.
* Hold/willing to obtain your - PASMA certification.
* Hold/willing to obtain your - Certified Network Cable Installer both copper and fibre certification.
* Hold/willing to obtain your - Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician certification.
* Hold/willing to obtain your - CAT2 in electrical works including PAT testing.
* Experience as a commercial electrician with containment would be advantageous.
* Exposure/willing to expand your understanding of the Vodafone business and align with H&S policies and develop skills.
* Hold/interest in obtaining your - Certified Network Infrastructure Technician certification.
