Join our dynamic team as a Customs Clearance Team Leader! You'll oversee our Customs Clearance ETSF team, ensuring compliance with HMRC and Border Force regulations. Your role involves managing the import/export process, resolving customs queries, and providing top-notch service to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure team compliance with HMRC/Border Force regulations.
* Resolve customs-related issues proactively.
* Maintain accurate import/export records.
* Report on department performance and suggest improvements.
* Manage carriers and handle exceptions.
* Assist with compliance and security authorisations.
* Use Sequoia Customs software and bespoke systems.
Requirements:
* Degree-level education preferred.
* Strong knowledge of customs formalities and legislation.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and customs entry software.
* Minimum 1 year in a customs-controlled environment.
* Full understanding of UK importation procedures.
