Job overview
The post-holder will hold a 12-month fixed term post working within the LTV department at RMCH. The LTV service is responsible for over 180 children and young people and has a transitional care unit catering for 8 Tracheostomy ventilated children awaiting stability and discharge home. We have a large MDT within our LTV service comprising of 3 consultants, discharge co-ordinators, advanced practitioners, LTV nurse educators, specialist nurses in invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and a large AHP support.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient management of both invasive and non-invasively supported children and will have the opportunity to work across wards, intensive care, and the neonatal unit at St Marys. They will also be able to be part of the national LTV advisory group chaired by Dr Stuart Wilkinson at RMCH. The post holder will be part of the wider MDT in respiratory medicine and be on the on-call Senior Clinical Fellow rota at RMCH.

Person specification
* MRCPCH part 1
* At least 2 years of paediatric experience, including both general paediatrics and neonatal intensive care.
* Evidence of interest in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
* MRCPCH or equivalent
Personal skills
* Able to prioritize and organize own workload
* Must be able to communicate clearly in oral and written form
* Must be able to work as a member of a team
* IT Skills
* Flexible approach
Experience
* At least 2 years of paediatric experience, including both general paediatrics and neonatal intensive care.
* Awareness and involvement in audit and management
* Completed audit or Quality Improvement projects
* UK Paediatric and neonatal experience
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
