The Business Development Manager role at TÜV SÜD is predominantly a customer facing role. The successful candidate will be expected to visit clients and align their needs with the services we offer. We are looking for an individual with commercial awareness and an understanding of the TIC industry relating to product development, with a desire to support their customers through the compliance journey. You will work with our inside sales team to generate proposals which you will then present, negotiate, and close.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Selecting and maintaining a portfolio of accounts which have been designated with growth potential.
* Proactively contacting prospective clients and evaluating their needs.
* Visiting customers to explore their needs for certification and testing services.
* Attending trade shows and industry events
* Proposing strategies for generating new business.
Essential Criteria:
* Commercial awareness and understanding of TIC particularly for product compliance.
* High level understanding of the legislations that product manufacturers face when taking products to market:
* CE/UKCA Marking
* FCC Certification
* NRTL Certification
* CB Certification
* Experience with any of the following: Radio, EMC, Safety, SAR testing and certification, GMA services.
* A technical aptitude and experience which demonstrates your ability to quickly assimilate technical information.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* A good collaborator with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, who actively and positively engages with colleagues with a proactive approach to change and self-development.
* Full UK Driving Licence
