Are you an immediately available HR Change Manager (TUPE) with experience or working in local government? My client who is a large local government organisation located in Berkshire is looking for an HR Change Manager to support with the transition of around 500 employees affected by a TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) process. The process will see a large number of employees who currently work for an independent not-for-profit organisation move to a local government organisation. The organisation is located in the centre of Reading, a short walk from the train station. The role requires the interim HR Change Manager (TUPE) to attend the office 1-2 days per week. The length of the assignment is 7-8 months and the day rate is £450-£500pd inside IR35. The key responsibilities of the role include: Leading the end-to-end HR process for TUPE transfers in a local government setting. Engaging with trade unions and employee representatives to negotiate and resolve concerns. Developing and delivering change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition for affected employees. Providing HR advisory support on workforce planning, restructuring, and any post-transfer adjustments required. Acting as a trusted advisor to leaders, department heads, and operational managers on all TUPE-related matters. Preparing reports and briefings for senior management, ensuring key risks and progress updates are clearly communicated. This is a great opportunity for a CIPD qualified local government or public sector HR specialist with a background in TUPE and change. This key role requires someone with a strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience of working with trade unions. You will lead on change projects and have a track record of stakeholder management, along with influencing and negotiating when needed. The role is starting in March 2025 so please only apply if you can start a new role at short notice and can commute to Reading 1-2 days per week.
