This unique role offers the opportunity for the post holder to work on all aspects of clinical trial management from study inception to study closure, whilst also undertaking duties as a monitor / CRA. This rare multifaceted role is primarily office based in a central location in the vibrant city of Bristol.
With a number of oncology clinical trials taking place, the study management team are looking for someone who is experienced in the field of clinical trials and is highly motivated and passionate. You will be working with a variety of research professionals in a friendly and supportive environment. You will support the Study Manager in all aspects of study management where BHOC is the sponsor and lead co-ordinating centre. You will have an active role in site management, monitoring, data management and trial administration. The team will be responsible for ensuring that studies are conducted to the highest possible standards and comply with all legal / regulatory requirements and research Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
You will be educated to degree level and have experience in trial administration and / or trial management. Some travel within the UK will be required but this will be moderate and will range from 5-20% of travel time depending on the sponsored studies portfolio at that time.
The Assistant Study Manager will assist in co-ordinating all aspects of the investigator led studies (ILS). They will be a flexible, motivated team player and will have previous experience in clinical trials. They will be responsible for ensuring that the studies are conducted to the highest possible standards which comply with all regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice. They will assist in all aspects of study set up (including gaining regulatory approvals) and the management of the studies at each participating site. Travel to participating sites to monitor recruitment activity and data returns will be required. The post provides the opportunity for development and freedom to act independently under the supervision of the Study Manager and will take a high level of responsibility which will require excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
