Manual Machinist

£35,360 - £39,520 Per Annum
Our client is recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join their growing team! They are leaders in their field and offer support to their customers from concept to commissioning.
Manual Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:
* Produce parts to tight tolerances, using engineering drawings as guides
* Carry out turning, boring, trepanning, roughing and finishing operations
* Working with Stainless Steel, alloys, brass, copper and plastics
* Working on standard sized manual lathe – be willing to learn to use larger machines such as Binns & Berry and Horizontal Borer
The Ideal Manual Machinist will:
* Ability to use large lathes
* Be able to perform turning, boring, trepanning, roughing & finishing operations
* Be able to read and work from engineering drawings
* Preferably be a time served apprentice with a couple of years post apprenticeship experience
* Be self-motivated and enthusiastic towards tasks
Working Hours and Benefits:
* Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
* Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
* 156 hours holiday, plus bank holidays
* Company Pension scheme
