We are working with a well established, medium sized company who are looking for an assistant accountant, who is AAT level 2/3/4 and looking for progression within a successful organisation. This role will report into the Finance Manager and will support two entities within the business.
Main duties will include:
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
* Accruals, prepayments and journals
* Closing month end and producing the account pack
* Doing quarterly VAT return
* Managing the cashbook and bank account daily
* Completing weekly flashes and participating in weekly flash calls
* Managing a team and making sure they meet month end deadlines closing PL & SL
* Completing prepayments and accruals every month
* Analysing and commenting on the variances from flash to actual results on the P/L
Skills:
* SAGE accounting experience would be an advantage
* MS Excel experience
