We are currently working with a multi-disciplinary engineering practice based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, as they look to add an Infrasturcture Design Engineer to their team.
They have a reputation for providing consultancy services in all major sectors, successfully working on numerous projects for a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors.
They advise on all stages of the construction engineering process, from pre-acquisition assessments to post occupancy. Their experience has enabled them to develop a clear objective to provide efficient and well-engineered design solutions within a framework of effective cost control with an uncompromising commitment to quality and service.

The successful candidate will join the Civil Engineering team to provide highways, drainage and external works design on a wide range of projects, including both new build and refurbishment projects for public and private sectors.
The successful candidate will also be proactive and have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. You must be able to represent the company with confidence and show a commitment to providing the level of care and attention needed to meet the high standards required and establish and nurture relationships with Clients and other members of the wider team.
The role includes:
1. Liaison with clients, interface with project teams, and contract implementation.
2. Carrying out detailed design of roads, drainage and external works etc. including S38 and S highway schemes and S drainage schemes together with preparing technical specifications.
3. Mentoring more junior engineers in design and best practice to ensure excellence in the design office.
Thge consultancy is forward thinking, embracing the use of BIM in their designs. The suitable candidate will need to embrace technology and will look to develop the role utilising BIM.
Excellent communication skills are essential: and a good level of computer ability in AutoCAD, Ground Modelling, Flow, WinDes software is required. Civils 3D, Site 3D, Revit skills and knowledge of Flood Risk Assessment or Transport Planning will be an advantage.
A high level of project management skills will be essential when managing your portfolio of varied projects. You will be given encouragement to offer ideas to improve the company and the opportunity to see them through.
