We are looking to speak to an experienced Engineering Fitter to join the mechanical workshop team, permanently. Skills/experience: Time served Mechanical Engineer (C&G, NVQ, HNC) Min of 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work from engineering drawings. Meticulous to detail. Knowledge of Pneumatic systems. Team player. Excellent communication skills. Primary duties: Assemble and servicing of specialist equipment mounted on survey vehicles. Examine/fault find and repair from a mechanical perspective these specialist assemblies. Inspecting assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as callipers, scales, and micrometres Maintain company equipment in good order and keep secure. Complete records and returns. Report non-compliance and unserviceable equipment. Comply with Health and safety requirements, i.e. have knowledge of safe working practices and procedures and to keep up to date with latest H&S requirements. Report to workshop manager. It is expected you will work to instructions with a minimum of supervision, taking personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work To undertake other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time. Additional info: Working hours – 37.5hours per week, 10am-3pm are core hours with flexibility outside of these times. Overtime available when required by the Company.
