We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher for a fantastic secondary school in Handsworth, Birmingham. The school is part of a renowned Academy Trust and prides itself on its strong ethos of inclusion, positive attitudes, and a commitment to hard work.

The school has undergone a complete refurbishment, including brand-new English classrooms, computer rooms, and a modern library, all designed to foster a stimulating and enriching learning experience.
This is a full-time position that will run from April 2025 through to the end of the academic year, offering you the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' academic journeys.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, in line with the national curriculum.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported in their learning.
* Use a range of teaching methods to ensure all students progress, catering for various abilities and learning styles.
* Set clear learning objectives and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students to support their development.
* Prepare students for GCSE English exams, ensuring they meet their full potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues and participate in the school's professional development programme to continue improving teaching practice.
* Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, supporting student welfare and academic achievement.
* Contribute to the wider school community, promoting school values and extra-curricular activities that support students' development.
What We Are Looking For
* A qualified English Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English, with a strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum.
* A genuine passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
* A commitment to the school's ethos of hard work, inclusion, and positive attitudes.
* Strong communication and collaborative skills to work within a team.
