You will lead through example, showing the Ardmore way of delivering activities, evening entertainment & excursions. To support the development of the AWL’s, you will conduct thorough and constructive observations and appraisals. Team Leaders plan, organise and set up activities during morning, afternoon, and evening activities. They will conduct pre-excursion briefs with their team the night before excursions and ensure the AWL’s have all the information and training needed to deliver successful excursions and activities. TL’s will ensure the team are engaging students during free time and actively supporting the host centre during mealtimes. You will also take responsibility for ensuring that stock is used and stored correctly, and the stocklist is kept up to date. You will play and active, key role during arrivals and departures, ensuring AWLs are well prepared and room checks are completed correctly. You will lead on Night Duties, to ensure all students are accounted for in their rooms and that fire lists are up to date. You will lead by example during fire drills to ensure all staff and guests understand what to do. Assist with the opening and closing of the centre, as directed by the Centre Director. SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES Where necessary share appropriate information with professionals and/or colleagues as may be required to keep everyone safe. KEY FACTS ✓ Reports to Activities Manager. ✓ Must attend compulsory Leadership Training. ✓ 4 week contract with a potential extension. ✓ 42 hours per week. (Some weeks you may be required to work in excess of 48 hours. You will therefore be asked to ‘opt out’ of the 48-hour Working Time Directive). ✓ Full accommodation & board provided free of charge. ✓ Evening and weekend work required.
