Commissioning Manager – Children's Residential & Education Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, car allowance of £4,800 plus benefit’s Full time 40 hours per week Location: Must live in Scotland, commutable to Paisley. Based - Remote - with Travel Essential Criteria ▪ Commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and achieve revenue targets. ▪ Strong communication skills. ▪ Must own a car and have a valid driver’s license. Preferred Criteria ▪ Commercial awareness gained from working in the children’s social care sector at management level or in Commissioning at a local authority. ▪ Experienced at business development within the social care sector. ▪ Already has established contacts in the sector. We are looking for a Commissioning Manager who can promote the business with local authorities, leading to new admissions in their services. The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for obtaining, managing, and placing new residents. This will be a fast-paced role with lots of variety, building deep-rooted partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally with local authorities to identify their needs and position the group’s high-quality services to meet such needs. Furthermore, the Commissioning Manager will oversee the smooth transition of service leavers and ensure that the process is organised and robust. Most of your time will be spent out in the field, supporting teams across the Scottish local authorities and otherwise working from home. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in how commissioning works; they will already have established contacts within the sector/region. Importantly, they will possess a firm understanding of the care sector - how homes operate on a day-to-day basis and how the referral process works. Applicants must be comfortable communicators, with strong prioritization skills and a track record of commercial success.
