provides a whole home retrofit plan to achieve your goals for your home
gets them underway with their project: connects homeowners with trustworthy installers, provides a contract, a warranty for the work and a Retrofit Coordinator to oversee the project
monitors energy performance to see how the project has affected your energy and provides annual inspection of any work completed

Job Description
About the role
Joining Furbnow as a Retrofit Project Coordinator is an incredible opportunity to put your project management skills to work in delivering the Net Zero agenda. You'll be integral to our mission of transforming homes to be more energy efficient, comfortable, and sustainable.
As our Retrofit Project Coordinator, you'll work closely with our Project Delivery team and our Architectural Technologist to support homeowners throughout their retrofit journey by:
* Producing comprehensive Home Energy Plans for customers
* Coordinating the entire retrofit process from assessment to completion
* Overseeing the design, tender, delivery and handover of retrofit projects
* Managing relationships with contractors and homeowners
* Ensuring high-quality implementation of energy efficiency measures
✔️ What your new job will be:
Retrofit Coordination
* Coordinate and manage Retrofit Assessments
* Produce comprehensive Home Energy Plans for clients
* Review recommendations for energy efficiency measures
* Ensure best practice retrofit principles are applied throughout the project
* Maintain detailed project documentation and records
Project Management
* Oversee the design, tender, delivery, and handover phases of retrofit projects
* Coordinate multiple contractors and stakeholders
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
* Identify and mitigate project risks
* Manage client expectations and communications
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
* Act as the client's representative (employer's agent) during the construction phase
* Provide clerk of works services through quality inspections and reporting
Client and Contractor Relations
* Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners throughout their retrofit journey
* Liaise between homeowners and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
* Communicate technical information in an accessible way to homeowners
* Manage contractor relationships and performance
* Resolve any issues that arise during project implementation
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
* Has 3+ years' experience in construction project management
* Professional qualification in construction management or related field desirable but not mandatory (CIOB membership would be advantageous)
* Strong understanding of residential construction processes and methods
* Experience working directly with both customers and contractors
* Knowledge of building regulations and compliance requirements
* Excellent project management and organisational skills
* Valid UK driving license for site visits
Desirable Skills and
Qualifications
:
* Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management (we can support training for the right candidate)
* Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings
* Experience managing retrofit or energy efficiency projects
* Understanding of PAS 2035 methodology and principles
* Knowledge of building physics and how different retrofit measures interact
* Experience with renewable heating technologies and their integration
