Radiology Deputy Manager | Imaging | Full Time | Permanent | Methley – LS26
Spire Methley Park are looking to recruit an experienced senior radiographer as a Radiology Deputy Manager, to help lead the team in the Imaging Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous leadership or supervisory experience, coupled with a good grounding and understanding of radiology, to take the next step in their career.
The role will have an element of diagnostic clinical duties, and participation in the on-call rota will be required.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Head of Department and as directed by the Director of Clinical Services
2. Be responsible for championing and inspiring the radiology team
3. Help to plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members
4. Help to support and maintain the effective use of physical and financial resources
5. Implement and monitor working processes and policies
6. Help with the management of the radiology team to ensure accurate staffing in order to meet patient need and demand
7. Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security
8. Strong understanding of IRR and IRMER regulations implementation within the hospital
9. Enable people to exercise their rights and promote their equality and diversity
10. Manage effective relationships with the Consultant Radiologists
11. Take responsibility for clinical governance and audit in the department
12. Undertake clinical duties as required and take part in the departmental on-call rota
Who we're looking for
13. BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
14. Significant post qualification experience as a Senior Radiographer / Team Leader
15. Experience of leading teams, supervision and mentoring
16. The ability to think analytically and problem solve
17. Experience in RIS/PACS and IEP system management
18. Evidence of ongoing and relevant CPD
19. Have strong knowledge of IRR and IRMER legislation
20. Sound written and verbal communication skills and excellent organisation skills
21. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
22. Passion to deliver high quality diagnostic images and services
