Job Description Strategy & Programme Manager – Aftermarket Operations Derby Full Time What you will be doing: We have an exciting opportunity to join Aftermarket Operations Business Development & Capability (BD&C) as a Strategy & Programme Manager. Within Aftermarket Operations, our BD&C Team leads our off wing and on wing expansion, driving capacity and capability to meet our aftermarket demand now and in the future. Engine flying hours are higher than ever before, and our MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) network is consequently undergoing an unprecedented period of growth to service our global fleet. To ensure our customers’ needs are met and effective operational solutions are delivered, there is a need to focus and develop key areas of our Aftermarket Operations strategy – which will in turn spin-off early phase capacity or capability projects to be developed. This high-profile role would suit you if you are looking to broaden your breadth, grow and demonstrate strategic agility, and gain visibility within a critical and growing part of Rolls-Royce. Responsibilities: You will operate across both the strategic and project spaces, with the following responsibilities: Work with the VP Strategy and Programme Exec – Portfolio to develop and refine the capacity and capability strategy. Take responsibility to develop specific strategy workstreams and/or resulting projects typically up to PMO Gate 1 maturity. Form and lead the IPT to support. Influence and manage key stakeholders' (internal and external) taking into account their levels of influence and particular interest. Identify, address and resolve differences between individuals and / or interest groups and maintain good communications. Establish, develop and maintain the initial documentation necessary to deliver the package(s) of work and coordinate supporting activities (eg funding, technology readiness) Actively manage risk and opportunities across the workstreams / packages of work. Training /qualifications or accreditations in the Project Management discipline Demonstrable experience in the management of programmes / projects of increasing complexity across multiple lifecycle stages Experience of the Aftermarket Operations organisation and/or one or more roles in PM, Customer Management, Business Development, Procurement, Supplier Management or Operations. Comfortable working with ambiguity, and fast changing environments. Experience of working and/or leading multi-function globally distributed teams towards effective understanding and delivery of business requirements Ability to solve complex problems, with good analytical capability and a desire to grow and apply their knowledge of MRO activities Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information with individuals at all levels within the organisation. Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience. It is anticipated that some travel will be required as part of this role.
