ST BRYCEDALE SURGERY
Salary/Banding: Band 2
Hours: 20 Hours Per Week, 4 hours daily (Flexibility essential during our opening hours of 8am-6pm and a requirement to work one extended hours shift until 6:45pm on a rotational basis.)
St Brycedale Surgery is a four partner GP Practice based in the heart of the community, located centrally within the beautiful Kingdom of Fife, with easy access to the cities of Edinburgh, Perth, and St Andrews. We are an east coastal town with the beach just a 10-minute walk away.
Our ethos is to provide the best possible primary care services to our patients in an efficient, friendly, and sympathetic manner. We are looking for someone to join our reception team who enjoys working with the public and is both professional and approachable at all times. It is essential that they have a positive approach to their work when dealing with patients and interacting within the team. We seek an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is confident working in a challenging and busy environment.
Required Skills
The successful candidate should be organized, proactive, and responsible. They must communicate confidently and effectively, work well within a team, and be capable of working independently. Accuracy under pressure and attention to detail are essential. They should be a good problem solver, able to use initiative, and understand the importance of confidentiality.
The candidate must be flexible to work during staff absences, holidays, and overtime as needed to meet the practice's requirements.
Duties
Responsibilities include all reception and admin work to ensure smooth practice operations, such as signposting patients, assisting with appointments, prescription requests, and general inquiries. Effective communication with the multidisciplinary team is essential.
Experience with GP clinical systems is advantageous. Previous experience working with the public is essential. A medical background is preferred but not required.
