We are currently looking for a Hire Desk Controller to work on our Implant desk in Newton-Le-Willows.
We seek a candidate who excels in delivering excellent customer service to join us as a Customer Service Advisor (internally known as a Hire Desk Controller).
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be part of a team servicing one of our key account customers. Your daily tasks will include handling various queries from customers, such as providing quotes for machine hire, processing orders, or addressing existing hire queries. Your role is to ensure high-quality service and efficient handling of requests.
This role is customer-facing, fast-paced, and requires someone sociable, highly organized, and proficient with MS Office (Excel/Word).
Working days are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer a competitive salary (dependent on experience), a Hire Desk commission scheme, 25 days holiday (pro-rata), pension, health cash plan, and life assurance.
Responsibilities include:
1. Converting hire inquiries into orders and achieving revenue targets.
2. Using the in-house system to process orders, check availability, and set hire rates.
3. Meeting call standards set by the company.
4. Providing customers with the best hire options based on product knowledge.
5. Handling customer inquiries professionally and politely.
6. Ensuring order accuracy to minimize disputes and credit notes, and ensuring relevant paperwork is received by the depot.
7. Building strong relationships with colleagues across depots and departments.
8. Coordinating with the depot transport team to meet customer needs.
Ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in a busy customer service or sales role.
* Excellent customer relationship management skills.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
* Good knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
