I am delighted to be working with a leading engineering and distribution business to help them recruit a site based Regional HR Manager near Frome.
This position covers 12 sites across the Southwest with a total headcount of circa 200 people. My client is renowned in their industry for what they do and the service they provide, this is a great opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to head up the HR department and provide pragmatic and commercial advice to the business.
As the Regional HR Manager, you will report into the Managing Director and have management responsibility for an HR Assistant. This is a true generalist position with a blend of strategic and operational HR, you will ensure that the business complies with employment law and best practice, as well as providing advice and direction on the people strategy. A large part of the role is to support and lead on employee relation case work ensuring you are providing informed, commercial and solutions focused HR support whilst also mitigating risk to the business.
Main Duties will include:
1. Providing solutions focused HR support and advice across the business.
2. Setting the people agenda ensuring its in line with overall company objectives
3. Lead on all change management activity to include restructures, redundancy and TUPE
4. Updating of HR policy and procedures inline with changes in employment law
5. All employee relation case work, coaching, advising and upskilling managers on performance management, disciplinary and grievance.
6. Preparing case work for Employment Tribunals
7. Ensuring that the HR system is continually updated and runs effectively liaising with technical support and consultancy as appropriate.
8. Provide and lead on specific HR research and project work
Skills Required
9. Proven HR generalist experience ideally within a regional based role
10. Ability to operate at a strategic and operational level.
11. Extensive expertise in all areas of Employee Relations to include complex case work.
12. Practical understanding of consultation, restructuring and TUPE
13. Up to date Employment law knowledge
14. CIPD qualified
15. Management responsibility.
