Full-time Description The Data Manager will oversee the management of price and promotion data feeds on a daily basis for one of the UK’s largest retailers. This role, embedded at the retailer’s HQs, involves building and maintaining strong relationships with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders while ensuring data is managed, analysed, and delivered efficiently. Responsibilities Manage large data sets from multiple sources, ensuring data is consistently processed and loaded into systems. Monitor the quality and accuracy of data, performing validation checks regularly. Track changes in retailer price and promotion policies, ensuring data reflects the latest updates. Resolve data queries and implement process improvements to enhance data management. Lead the automation of processes and continuously refine data handling workflows. Analyse data sets to support business insights and facilitate understanding of trends and key metrics. Collaborate with data providers and internal teams at the retailer to enhance services and identify areas requiring additional data collection. Conduct ad-hoc data analysis as needed. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth data operations. Requirements Minimum 2 years experience of working with large datasets. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a desire to develop skills in SQL and Python. Familiarity with the retail sector, including major retailers, product categories, and market trends. Ability to identify key trends in data and present findings clearly. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in spelling and grammar. Capable of managing multiple projects, delivering on deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude towards challenges. Experience working with third-party suppliers and internal teams, with a flexible approach to meeting their needs.
