Mechanical Engineer We are looking for Mechanical Engineers to join the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team, based on the wastewater treatment sites across the Midlands, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire for our Severn Trent client. Location : On site in Midlands, South Yorkshire or Derbyshire Contract : Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know Responsibilities As a Mechanical Engineer you'll work alongside the project delivery team to ensure that the design, procurement and site activities are achieved within budget. The projects will be delivering the water M&E elements such as pumping stations, dosing systems, and chlorination plants, as well as associated civil structures. Your day to day will include: Early site investigation works in coordination with the client, design, and project teams. Production and review of health and safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and project management plans. Procuring materials, attending site and works testing, commissioning, and client training. Collaborating with the design team to gather all required information, participation in regular design reviews and Hazard Studies to develop the best solution. Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, preparing subcontract orders, and assisting with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation of works. What are we looking for? This role of Mechanical Engineer is great for you if you have: Industry applicable Mechanical ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent. Proven experience within the Water Industry or similar working on similar projects and equipment.
