Lead the development and implementation of a stimulating and challenging Geography curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum and the school's vision. Motivate and inspire a team of talented Geography teachers, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth. Play a key role in the recruitment, development, and performance management of the Geography department staff. Oversee the effective use of resources and facilities to enhance the Geography learning experience. Develop and maintain strong relationships with feeder primary schools and external partners. Contribute to the wider leadership team of the school, supporting the overall vision and educational goals. Foster a love of Geography and encourage students to develop critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Geography Teacher with a minimum of 5 years' successful teaching experience, including experience at Key Stage 3 and demonstrably strong leadership potential. A proven track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes in Geography. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for innovative teaching methods that bring Geography to life. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and external partners. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students.
