Field Service Engineer - Forklift Truck Maintenance and Repair
Job Description
Our client is the authorised Cesab dealer for Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced field service engineer to join their forward-thinking team to help their business achieve ambitious growth plans.
Working on customer sites and at our clients' workshop, your role will be interesting and varied. Along with the ongoing requirement for servicing and preventative maintenance work, you will be expected to carry out diagnosis and subsequent repair work to both clients' and the clients' own equipment as well as conducting thorough examination inspections.
Duties will include:
1. Servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of both company-owned and customer forklift trucks ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised.
2. Providing clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status and advising actions that may be required to maintain the equipment.
3. Liaising with the parts department to ensure appropriate repairs are carried out within required time frames.
4. Completing documentation to company standards.
5. Working within Health & Safety requirements at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
As an experienced forklift truck service engineer, you will have gained experience from a similar role and possess knowledge of forklift trucks. The following skills and experience would be preferable:
1. In-depth mechanical and electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills.
2. Experience in a similar role is essential.
3. Experience in Manual Handling, Agricultural, Plant (JCBs etc) or Powered Access equipment.
4. Experience of hydraulics and electrical equipment.
5. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise in a clear and concise way with all levels of customers.
6. A flexible and helpful attitude to work.
7. Ability to work as part of a team or under your own initiative.
8. A full driving licence.
You will need to own your own tools to carry out service duties and repairs. This refers to general tools such as sockets, spanners, screwdrivers etc. Anything more specific to the equipment you'll be working on will be provided by the client.
You will be covering the Midlands area including Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and also includes Lincoln, Northampton, and Birmingham. A company vehicle is provided for any work mileage.
Start Times: 8am if you are booked in/planned for work at the depot and onsite. Travelling times will vary based on the location of the customer.
Pay: Up to £38,000.00 per year
Yearly Bonus: Up to £1,000
